Celebrated on the night of October 31st every year, Halloween is one of the most exciting holidays on earth. Scary clothes, streets covered with pumpkins, spider webs, strange ceremonies. How about taking a look at Halloween, which is being celebrated all over the world today?

The origin of prehistoric Halloween dates back to the Samhain festival, a Celtic culture celebrating the end of the harvest season. It is thought that with the end of the harvest, nature has passed into death. On the night of October 31st, the doors between the dead and the living are thus opened.

With the extinction of pagan culture and the subsequent rise of Christianity, this festival was transformed. This holiday, which was transformed by the Papacy as All Hallow's Eve (Saint's Day), eventually took the name Halloween.

In the 1800s, a harvest festival with elements from Halloween began to be celebrated. In the 19th century, many immigrants from Britain, predominantly the Irish, who immigrated to America brought Halloween costumes. Halloween eventually became one of the leading children's holidays in the United States.

It is usually the holiday where children wear various scary costumes and visit the houses of their village, neighborhood, from door to door, and receive candy, fruit, and various gifts.

Adults hold dress balls on the weekend closest to October 31st. At these parties, guests wear scary costumes such as witches, ghosts, or horror movie characters.
